This past weekend we went to Woodfield mall to meet some of my dear friends from college. We ate at Rainforest Cafe, brought Emma to build-a-bear, and had a great time. Anything involving a Baby Gap makes me happy. Emma was very content strolling through the mall, and she had a great time at Rainforest. The loud thunder and roaring lion didn't phase her one bit. She's a trooper, this little one.
She wasn't even afraid of the monsterous stuffed bunny at Build-a-bear. She insisted on walking around the store the entire time we were there, and was content softly stroking some poor boy's arm.
Then we went into a store and had Emma try on some ridiculously adorable sunglasses, and I was very pleased when she wanted to keep them on. She didn't have to twist my arm. We were out of the store in 2 minutes, Emma wearing the sunglasses, and the girl was asleep in probably 20 seconds. She looked so cute strolling through the mall, asleep, with her gigantic sunglasses covering her eyes. To this day she still grabs them and tries to put them on everyday. The girl's got style.
Emma's smiles come easily lately, as do her kisses. This makes for one happy mom and dad. We adore her to pieces, and she has such a fun personality. She's very sassy. Her new thing is smiling so big and cheesy-like that it almost seems fake. Her little mouth goes crooked and she smiles so hard that her eyes squint up. I swear she only does it when we laugh at her, which only provokes her more. Oh, and she also likes to lock up her limbs and whip her head back when I try to change her diaper. Now that's what I call fun.
Her dolly Pinky is still her constant companion. It's sweet and cute and will it go on forever?
