Birthday weekend

This past Saturday was my 24th birthday, and it was a relaxing, laid-back kind of a day. We went over to say hi to my dad, then ate lunch at one of my favorite little joints in Byron, Sam's Drive-in.

Afterwards we went over to Gee Gee's to take a dip in her pool..

And hung out at home for a bit so Em could take a nap. She tried her hardest to wake up so we could head to dinner in Rockford. She seems to be getting a bit of a cold, so I could tell she wasn't feeling 100%.

My mom arranged a nice dinner for me at Lino's, and the whole fam damily was there!

Then on Sunday I was really feeling my age. We headed out to take my wittle brother to college. He is going to Kishwaukee on a baseball scholarship, and will be living in the dorms on NIU's campus. He is entirely too young.

Good thing his roommate's weren't moving in yet, because it would have been super embarrassing having me take photos of them. Poor Luke puts up with all of us girls like such a champ.

Secretly, i know he loves it.

His darling girlfriend Niki was there, too. Emma loves Niki, so we like having her around.

Then Emma started acting like a rowdy college girl..

So Joey and I decided we had best get her out of those dorms!

After leaving the dorms, we headed back to Grandpa Dan's and Grandma Jackie's to visit and see Grandma Shirley. Emma chased around the dogs for a majority of the time, but took a few breaks to snack on some food and visit with her Great Grandma.

Now we are home and getting ready for another crazy week of work. Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes - only six more years till I'm 30! Now that should make my parents feel super old..
